Certificates for mid–career professionals – deadline extended to august 30

Sustainable Community Development Certificate – A flexible program comprised of eight 2– and 3–day intensive courses over 10–18 months. Apply by August 30. Cohorts complete six core courses: Foundation in Sustainable Community Development; Applications in Sustainable Community Development; Sustainable Economics for the Real World; Making Change Happen: Building Commitment to Create Sustainability; Integrating Social Dimensions into Sustainability; Sustainable Community Development Studio. Hiring in the next few months? Wage–subsidy internships are available!

Apply today to receive a wage subsidy of up to $12,000 to help cover the costs of hiring a recent graduate. Funding is available for organizations that meet the following criteria:

  • Are Canadian owned or a Canadian subsidiary
  • Can offer a full–time position for 4 – 8 months
  • Offer a new position that has a significant environmental component and some international exposure (i.e. Liaison with foreign companies, working with samples from abroad, participating at a conference outside of Canada…)
  • Have the position start on or before dec 1st, 2010
  • Have not accessed another federally funded wage subsidy for the position
