BAP Acoustics Ltd.

BAP Acoustics is the North American affiliate of Bickerdike Allen Partners, a leading acoustic consultancy practice that has been serving the United Kingdom from its London headquarters since 1962. BAP Acoustics has offices in Vancouver, BC. The firm is managed by founding partners Mark Gaudet, a former associate of Bickerdike Allen Partners, and Eric de Santis.

Our firm delivers industry-leading services and solutions to clients across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Our core environmental services include baseline noise surveys, regulatory compliance noise surveys, computerized noise modelling, noise mapping and noise impact assessments.

BAP Acoustics noise specialists use computerized outdoor noise models to accurately predict emissions from existing and proposed noise sources, including industry, highways, railways, heliports, and airports. Computerized noise modelling provides us with the ability, at the planning stage, to predict noise from future projects and assess the potential for adverse impacts on nearby communities. It also allows us to investigate effective noise control measures, such as quieter equipment or the introduction of roadside noise barriers, earth berms, or silencers.

Global Bio-Coal Energy Inc.

Global Bio-Coal Energy (GBCE), a Vancouver-based Company, announced the construction and operation of its first commercial facility in British Columbia (Canada), which will go into full production in late 2016. The plant is the first of its kind in the world that will convert wood waste, using a State of the Art proven technology, into two products to serve the existing and emerging North American, European and Asian markets:

The company selected the Wyssmont Turbo-Dryer® technology and has obtained the exclusive right to use and market their torrefaction unit. The Wyssmont unit is unique; it can both dry and torrify the wood fibre. The plant can produce a Return on Investment (ROI) in 1.5 years.

The company chose Lumby to host its first commercial-scale bio-coal production facility. The plant will be 100% owned and operated by GBCE. The company has secured 30 acres to purchase the site. The site is fully operative including CN rail spur line to the site. The company has secured enough fibre for the next 10 years.

GBCE hired WorleyParsons a major engineering company as prime contractor to oversee all mass and thermal balances, complete plant design of handling and interfacing of the major equipment. This development has prompted GBCE to create a business model that is both environmentally responsible and economically viable.

GBCE has also entered into an Off-Take Agreement with Vitol Broking Ltd of UK. Vitol among the world's top five trading and distribution companies in energy, including oil, natural gas, coal and many other commodities, is one of many coal-trading companies that will be marketing our Bio-Coal in the European market.
