BCEIA 3rd Annual Fall Luncheon: Land and Marine Based Spill Response

We are pleased to announce that the BCEIA’s 3rd Annual Fall Luncheon: Land and Marine Based Spill Response will take place on Friday, October 14th in Victoria, BC. The speakers for the event have been confirmed – Graham Knox (Ministry of the Environment), Michael Lowry (Western Canada Marine Response Corporation) and Lyle Fairley (Department of National Defence).

BIOS
Lyle Fairley is Marine Environmental Emergency Response Officer for the Queen’s Harbour Master (Esquimalt). He is responsible for managing coastal oil spills on behalf of Maritime Forces Pacific and National Defence. Lyle has worked in the environmental industry since graduating from the University of Victoria in 1997.
Michael Lowry is Communications Manager for Western Canada Marine Response Corporation. He is a strategic communications and public relations consultant with more than 10 years’ experience in domestic and international settings across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. He has designed and developed successful communication campaigns for some of BC’s most influential organizations, including Harbour Air, Pacific Blue Cross and Columbia Power. Michael has a BA in Communications from the University of Calgary and a B.Sc. in Politics and International Relations from the London School of Economics.
