The 2017 EMA of BC Workshop will expand on various environmental issues we are dealing with today, from climate change and the social aspects associated with it, water conservation, marine conservation, to contaminated sites. CWMA Workshop: Food Waste Diversion and Composting Odour Challenges

Food waste is a big issue, affecting multiple stakeholders in various sectors of our government and economy. The scope of the issue continues to raise red flags at the federal, provincial and local government level.

Whether you are a food-waste generator, organics-recycling professional, or a waste management practitioner, the solutions for reducing food waste and increasing recovery is a very broad issue. This event will highlight local efforts that reduce food loss and waste, rescue wholesome food, and recover inedible food residuals for beneficial reuse. The EMA of BC is now accepting nominations for the 2017 Environmental Management Awards. The awards are to recognize our environmental managers and their project teams for their outstanding achievements in environmental management. The Awards are open to EMA member firms in the Province of British Columbia that have encouraged technological innovation, regulatory fairness, and application of the principles of sustainability, safety, and quality. Reshaping Energy 2017: Opportunities and Impacts of Reducing Canadian GHG Emissions
