AUGUST 21, 2017 – The BCEIA would like to congratulate ClearTech for winning this year’s Environmental Cup! ClearTech defeated Golder/Keystone in the final game of the 25th season of the Environmental Slo-Pitch League to capture the Cup and defend their title.
Felix Shuen of Team Phil/WFG received the Tournament’s Best Defensive Play Award while Kim Domino of ClearTech won the Golden Glove Award. Romy Soriano from the Maxxam team took the Home Run King Award for his six monster home runs. Finally, Morgan Wingate of Golder/Keystone team was the recipient of the Spectacular Injury Award.
Congratulations to all participants!
We’d like to thank Brian Jang of Maxxam Analytics, Andrew Sorensen of Thurber Engineering, and Chris McCue of McCue Engineering Contractors for their contributions to another successful season and a fun tournament. Also, a special shout-out to Jerry Holzbecher and Brent Makelki of ALS for setting up and manning the grill and cooking lunch for all of the players. Very much appreciated!
As we look forward to next season, we hope to see more environmental professionals join the league and compete for the Environmental Cup. It’s a pretty casual league with a variety of skill levels. We have room for both players and teams, so please email [email protected] if you are interested in playing next season.
Thank you to our sponsors!
