BC Ministry of the Environment: Proposed Update to the Environmental Data Quality Assurance Regulation
OCTOBER 17, 2018 – The B.C. Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy, after extensive study and consultation, is considering revisions to update the Environmental Data Quality Assurance Regulation (EDQAR). The proposed changes are captured in an Intention Paper (IP) entitled “Assuring Data Quality for Environmental Regulation in B.C.” and can be accessed at the links below.
The comment period for the IP opens on October 17, 2018 and all stakeholders are invited to make comments on the proposals in the IP. Your input and that of all stakeholders in the province will be taken into consideration as we refine the changes to the EDQAR to serve the best interests of the people of B.C.

As part of the public consultation, public meetings will be held on November 14 and 15, 2018. There will be further information on that as the arrangements are completed.
