Metro Vancouver: Changes to the Diesel Engine Bylaw
Meeting materials now available online
NOVEMBER 13, 2018 – An online meeting took place on October 24, 2018 to explain changes to the MVRD Non-Road Diesel Engine Emission Regulation Bylaw No. 1161, including requirements for registration of low-use engines. The recording of the online meeting and presentation slides are now available for review.
In March 2018, the Metro Vancouver Board approved changes to Bylaw 1161, including changes to low-use engine registration requirements. Owners of low-use engines must install a non-resettable hour meter by January 1, 2019 and report engine hour readings quarterly. For more information about the new requirements for low-use engine registration and other changes to the bylaw, visit the Metro Vancouver website.
