CleanBC Workforce Readiness Survey

Responses accepted until November 22, 2019

In December 2018, the Government of British Columbia launched CleanBC, a plan aimed at reducing climate pollution while creating more jobs and economic opportunities across the province. In line with the CleanBC strategy, the CleanBC Workforce Readiness Plan (CBCWRP) is being developed to address the labour, skills development and workforce opportunities that will emerge through the implementation of CleanBC.

The CBCWRP must be based on a foundation of solid labour market information research and analysis. This includes an online survey of employers and training providers. The survey provides an opportunity for businesses and training organizations to provide suggestions, ideas, and recommendations for advancing opportunities with a regional lens, as well as addressing gaps and barriers to workforce and skills development, related to BC’s clean economy and the CleanBC Plan. Input will be used to help shape the development of the CBCWRP.

The following target groups are invited to complete this survey:

Employers – Owners, CEOs and/or others involved with staffing, HR and/or skills training in companies involved in transportation, buildings and infrastructure projects, clean energy projects, waste and resource management, and industrial energy and process efficiency.

Training organizations – In particular, deans/ professors/instructors, labour unions, non-profit and First Nations training organizations, and professional development and industry associations offering training.
