BEST 2026 Call for Abstracts

Bettering Environmental Stewardship and Technology Conference
May 27 to 29 , 2026 at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler
Deadline extended to February 13, 2026

DECEMBER 28, 2025: The British Columbia Environment Industry Association invites you to submit technical abstracts for its 13^th annual Bettering Environmental Stewardship and Technology Conference (BEST 2026), May 27 – 29 in Whistler. All presentations must fit into a 30-minute speaking slot.

Abstracts are encouraged in, but not limited to, the following areas:

• Climate Change Resilience & Adaptation
• Hazardous Waste Management
• Technology / Management / Consulting in the Clean Energy Sector (Wind, Solar, Tidal)
• Mining
• Oil & Gas
• Construction and Municipal Infrastructure
• Emergency Spill Response
• Contaminated Sites
  (Innovative Technologies, Practices, Case Studies, Lessons-Learned)
• Environmental, Social & Governance
• Environmental Assessment & Permitting
• Environmental Law & Case Studies
• Environmental Policy Initiatives
• First Nations Consultation & Partnerships
• Large Projects
  (Mines, Dams, Road Infrastructure,
  Terminals, Industrial Properties)
• Sustainable Business Practice Case Studies
• Upcoming Major Project
  (Updates and Successes in Western Canada)
• Urban Planning / Design / Environmental Sustainability

By submitting an abstract, the presenter is committing to pay and attend BEST 2026. Please do not submit if you are unable to attend BEST 2026 or if you have not received the necessary client approvals.

Note: Presenters receive up to 50% off the registration price.

Abstracts must include a presenter biography, with the combined length of both the abstract and bio not exceeding 500 words. Submissions should be in MS Word format and be received by (new deadline!) February 13, 2026.
