Milestone Environmental Contracting Announces Indigenous Student Bursary
Deadline for submissions is June 1, 2026
MARCH 12, 2026 – BCEIA Member Milestone Environmental Contracting is pleased to share the launch of a new Indigenous Student Bursary aimed at supporting Indigenous post‑secondary students pursuing studies in environmental science, engineering, and related fields. Their goal is to help encourage greater Indigenous representation within the environmental remediation and contaminated sites sectors, and hopes this initiative will support that effort. This year they will be awarding three scholarships of $2,500 each.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicant must be of Indigenous ancestry (First Nation, Métis, or Inuit) in Canada.
- Must be enrolled or accepted into an accredited post-secondary institution in one of the eligible programs.
- Demonstrated commitment to their field of study and an interest in contributing to environmental contracting or related industries.
